During retreats there are a sessions of formal teachings from Sister Shalom and a time where the groups share about their practice, raise questions they might have or challenges regarding incorporating practice into daily life.

We offer sessions of sitting meditation followed by slow indoor walking meditation, which we teach and you pick up very easily. We also enjoy periods of outdoor walking meditation together, which is a very nourishing time to be connected with nature, ourselves and each other. We always hope to fit in plenty of time to relax, walk in the nature, read or share time with someone.

We usually have the range of practitioners at each weekend – from some long-term practitioners right through to complete beginners. The atmosphere is gentle, relaxed and homely, and people feel quickly at ease and a sense of belonging and peace here.
